Toluwanimi Bello
I am a senior Chemical Engineering student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (Class of 2017). I am also a Meyerhoff and Grand Challenge Scholar at UMBC, with a focus on engineering better medicines. My goal is to earn a PhD in chemical engineering, with research based on the exploration of alternative energy sources. I joined GCSP to gain the opportunity to acquire a more global view of research, as well as to explore the cultural, economic, and personal limitations/catalysts to research. This way, my engineering solutions truly solve grand challenges, and not just the problems in my immediate environment.
