My proposed service experience was satisfied by my role as a UMBC Eco-Ambassador from August 2015 - May 2016. This role required me to teach students the theory behind, and how to use, the solar panels on campus. I also needed to teach them about UMBC’s motivation for embarking on the solar energy projects. In doing this, I covered the basics upon which all solar energy economics are founded. Therefore, this experience tied into my co-grand challenge of Making Solar Energy more Economical.
